let's start with eyeshadow basics…
SHADOW BASE AND ALL OVER EYESHADOW
Recommended Brush: Under all Over eyeshadow/ concealer brush
1: Start by adding a base to the lid (I prefer concealer). This removes any discoloration from the lid and gives the shadow something to adhere to. Make sure there are no creases in the base before adding shadow. Any crease in the base will be accentuated by the shadow.
2: Next, find an eyeshadow that is close to the color of your skin. Add the shadow to your brush (don't be stingy). Start by pressing the shadow into the base. Once the whole lid is covered, start to buff the shadow; these two steps improve the bond between the two products and makes your shadows last all day.
EYESHADOW CREASE
Recommended Brush: Easy Crease defining brush
1: Identify the top of the brush. It's the rounded side with no indent.
2: Place the shadow you wish to appear in your crease and onto your brow bone about 1/2 way up the brush starting at the end of the bristles.
3: if you want to add a deep crease color, add it to the tip of the brush on the same side of the brush.
4: Place the brush in the crease, where you want the most color (typically the outside corner).
5: Keeping the brush held in the crease, move the brush back and forth, toward your nose and back again, until the desired effect has been created.

LID COLOR and HIGHLIGHT
Recommended Brush: Easy Crease defining brush
1: Place your chosen color on the BOTTOM of the brush (the side with the indent.
2: With the bottom side of the brush facing down, find the bottom edge of the created eyeshadow crease and place the brush.
3: Now, press the brush into the space while raising the angle of the handle. This will create a crescent shape, similar to your lid.
4: Wiggle and pull the brush toward you lashes.
5: if you're using a highlight color, you can use what's left on the brush under your brow.
STRUCTURED OUTSIDE CORNER
Recommended Brush: Little Lines eyeliner, eyebrow brush
1: Add your desired color to the brush. Typically, the same color (or darker) that you'll be using for your lower liner.
2: Follow the angle of the lower lash line and make a mark from the outside corner, under the lashline, up to the bottom of the crease.
3: Lifting your brow, blend the line inward, until satisfied with the result.
4: You can also add depth in the crease by extending the color mark into the deep crease and blending.
HOODED EYES
Recommended Brush: Little Lines eyeshadow/eyebrow brush
1: After applying your shadow base and all-over eyeshadow, rest your brow so the hood is at its lowest point.
2: Choose the color that would be your deep crease color.
3: Follow the angle of the lower lash line and make a mark from the outside corner, under the lashline, up to the bottom of the crease. This is the end-point you do not want to pass, as it will make your eyes appear to sag.
4: Now, with your brow still rested, start at the mark you just made and create a line at the bottom of the fold (it does not need to be perfect)
5: Using the EASY CREASE defining brush; add a slightly lighter eyeshadow that is complementary to the mark to the top of the brush, about 1/2 way up the brush from the bristles.
6: Place the brush into the crease
5: Place the brush in the crease, where you want the most color (typically the outside corner).
6: Keeping the brush held in the crease, move the brush back and forth, toward your nose and back again, until the desired effect has been created.
7: The darkest shadow should still be at the edge of the fold. This will create the illusion that the fold has retracted.
Here's a helpful note that will help, when doing makeup anywhere on the face… Light brings forward, Dark moves back.
Cameras DO NOT see structure. They only see light and shadows.
Easy Crease Tutorial
Tutorial Instructions
For this look, start by applying your transition color on the top of the Easy Crease brush, about halfway down the bristles. Place into the crease, where you want the most color. Holding the brush into the crease, sweep back and forth toward your nose until the desired effect has been achieved.
For the deep crease, place your desired color on the top of the brush, only about ¼ down the bristles. Follow the exact steps as the transition color.
For the liner and outside corner, I chose complimentary colors. Using the Little Lines brush, start at the outside corner, drag the shadow under the lashline toward the inner eye until satisfied. Extend the liner, at the same angle as the lower lashline, up to the bottom of the crease. Fill in the outside corner with the liner shadow.
When satisfied, add a second, lighter color, in the same color family and pull slightly across the lid from the outside corner.
For the lid highlight, place your highlight color on the bottom of the Easy Crease brush. Place the brush at the bottom of the crease. Press, wiggle and pull the brush toward your lashline. This will also blend your second, complimentary color.
Finish by taking the remaining shadow from the Easy Crease brush and placing it under your brow.
